Job Summary: We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Medical Laboratory Assistants to join our dynamic team. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collecting blood samples, and performing various laboratory tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect blood samples from patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community locations.
* Prepare and process laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.
* Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care and service.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection policies.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry advancements.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Pathology Collections or equivalent experience.
* Proven customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, and clinical staff.
* Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve general issues within the clinical environment.
* Familiarity with pathology terminology and requirements, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
* Unencumbered Class C Driver's License (valid in NSW) or capacity to travel to any site for a shift as required.
