About the Role We have multiple positions span two core areas within the People Culture team: Recruitment and Learning Development .
You will support end-to-end hiring activities while also delivering administrative and coordination support for organisation-wide development programs.
The role is ideal for candidates who enjoy variety, stakeholder engagement and contributing to both capability-building and recruitment operations.
Recruitment Officer – $60/hour + super Learning Development Officer – $60/hour + super Location: Sydney (The Mint / Kingswood), hybrid working available, 2-3 days in the office Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until June **** Hours: 35 hours per week Background checks: Police Check + two verbal references Submission deadline: 3 days Key Responsibilities Recruitment Officer Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across multiple portfolios.
Draft, edit and publish job advertisements on relevant platforms.
Review applications and shortlist candidates aligned to role requirements.
Schedule and coordinate interviews, assessments and hiring panel logistics.
Facilitate interview packs, candidate correspondence and follow-up actions.
Conduct reference checks and prepare onboarding paperwork.
Maintain accurate records in recruitment and HR systems.
Support induction sessions and assist with participant coordination.
Deliver high levels of customer service to hiring managers and candidates.
Prepare documents, email correspondence and general administrative tasks.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, audit standards and government recruitment guidelines.
Compile recruitment reports and assist with data accuracy for reporting cycles.
Participate in continuous improvement projects across the People Culture team.
Learning Development Officer Coordinate day-to-day learning and development activities aligned with the annual plan.
Book and manage group training sessions, workshops and compliance modules.
Collate PDP data and assist in building a structured learning calendar.
Maintain accurate training and attendance records within the LMS.
Prepare reports to inform planning and track budget spend.
Support probation, secondment and onboarding tracking processes.
Assist with mentoring and shadowing programs, including matching and communication.
Liaise with internal trainers, external providers and stakeholders regarding training logistics.
Process L D-related invoices and support financial administration.
Respond to staff enquiries regarding training pathways and development opportunities.
About You Experience in recruitment, learning and development, HR coordination or similar roles.
Ability to manage competing deadlines across dual HR functions.
Familiarity with LMS platforms and confidence in developing reports.
Experience using e-recruitment tools such as Cornerstone or similar systems.
Strong written communication skills for job ads, training materials and stakeholder correspondence.
High attention to detail with strong recordkeeping and administrative capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong proficiency in MS Office and general digital tools.
Understanding of public sector compliance and employment frameworks (desirable).
Willingness to travel across sites as required.
