Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth is seeking Mechanical Maintenance professionals to contribute to a Tier 1 operation. Located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, this open-cut mine relies on dragline and load haul systems for continuous operations.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for executing planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and machine rebuilds. These roles offer opportunities to contribute to productivity and continuous improvement initiatives in Truck, Field, and Mobile equipment maintenance areas.
Your work will involve a range of OEM fleet including Komatsu, Cat, Hitachi, NHL Trucks, Water Carts, Graders, Track Dozers, Scrapers, Service Trucks, Letourneau Loaders, Liebherr & Hitachi Excavators, P&H ****XPC Shovels, Draglines, and Drills while working a rotating 4/5 lifestyle roster.
Requirements
Essential Criteria:
* Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification or equivalent;
* Proven Heavy Industry experience;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Proven ability to work safely in a team environment;
* Proven skill in diagnostic problem solving across the Truck, Mobile, and Field fleet;
* Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work;
* Ability to problem solve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
Desirable criteria:
* SAP experience;
* Previous OEM Experience;
* Industry relevant qualifications (high-risk tickets);
* Knowledge of planning/scheduling and risk assessment process.
