Job Title: Senior Lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery
La Trobe University's La Trobe Rural Health School is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will design innovative curricula, lead impactful research, and mentor the next generation of nursing professionals. They will contribute to the academic excellence and research reputation of Australia's largest rural health school, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Development: Design, coordinate, and deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate courses that reflect best practices in online and blended learning modalities.
* Leadership and Mentoring: Provide leadership in subject or course design and mentoring academic staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
* Research: Conduct and publish high-impact research aligned with La Trobe's themes of Healthy People, Families, and Communities.
* Student Supervision: Supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR), honours, and postgraduate students to ensure their academic success.
* Industry Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with industry partners to advance the nursing discipline and promote collaborative practice.
* Accreditation and Quality Assurance: Contribute to professional accreditation and internal course monitoring processes to ensure the highest standards of quality and accountability.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Ph.D. in Nursing: A Ph.D. in Nursing or equivalent accreditation and standing in the field.
* Registered Nurse/Dual Registered Nurse: Registration as a Registered Nurse/Dual Registered Nurse with NMBA/AHPRA.
* Teaching and Research Experience: Proven excellence in curriculum development, teaching, and research publication, with a demonstrated capacity for academic leadership and mentoring.
* Liaison and Staff Development: Experience liaising with external organizations and managing staff development to enhance the skills and knowledge of academic staff.
