About the Role

The
Associate Director, Sector Leadership Development
will lead and manage the strategic design and delivery of world class, contemporary leadership development program for Senior Executives across the NSW public sector.

In this role, you will develop and implement contemporary executive leadership development strategies and frameworks, ensuring leaders are equipped to drive positive change, foster a strong organisational culture, and deliver better outcomes for citizens.

Key priorities include driving delivery of innovative learning solutions during a period of significant change, building collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and continuously improving program effectiveness through evaluation and digital engagement. You will manage multiple projects and provider relationships, contribute to department-wide strategy, and lead team members to achieve high performance and ongoing capability development.

Join our People and Workforce Group, Workforce Planning Branch and shape executive leadership capability and support the sector's strategic and operational priorities.

We're Looking For

* Leadership Strategy & Design
: Proven ability to develop and implement contemporary leadership strategies and frameworks for senior executives across the NSW public sector, grounded in public service context and external market trends.
* Executive Learning Program Delivery
: Track record leading end‑to‑end delivery of a blended, world‑class learning suite (incl. digital engagement and platform infrastructure) that challenges performance and behaviours and supports current and emerging leaders.
* Stakeholder & Provider Management
: Strength in building collaborative relationships with sector leaders, learners, alumni and third‑party suppliers; negotiating from a credible position to commission cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions and manage provider performance.
* Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
: Capability to design and apply evaluation strategies, use business data and research to assess program effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement and innovation in leadership development.
* Project & People Leadership
: Adept project management with risk, change and benefit realisation, alongside managing and developing teams—setting clear goals, coaching, addressing performance issues, and delivering results within budgets and delegated authority.
