About the HR Manager Role
Based at our Head Office in Lytton, we are looking for a highly experienced senior-level HR Manager to provide and deliver strategic HR leadership and functions across our four Australian branches. This senior manager role requires a versatile HR generalist with at least 10 years of experience in senior HR management, preferably within heavy industry or construction sectors.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic acumen, and the ability to personally deliver hands-on HR support on a day-to-day basis.
As a key advisor to Tadano Oceania leadership team, you will drive initiatives that support business goals and foster a high-performance and positive workplace culture. With approximately 100 employees nationally, you will be comfortable discussing issues with workshop and support team members and developing strategies with Managers and the Leadership team.
Key Responsibilities include
* Supporting the leadership team in business objectives and guiding people strategies
* Leading end-to-end HR services across multiple locations nationally
* Regular travel required with weekly stays in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations across blue and white-collar workers
* Managing and mentoring the HR team
* Managing talent acquisition and retention strategies
* Implementing performance management, training, and development programs
* Overseeing HR policies, employee relations, and organizational change
* Overseeing benefits administration and coordinating with Finance (Payroll)
* Developing and maintaining HR metrics and monthly reports to guide decision-making
* Managing key HR projects
* Must be available to work on-site full-time (Monday to Friday)
What We Are Looking For:
* 10+ years of HR experience at senior management level (HR Manager or above), overseeing all core HR functions
* Strong generalist HR expertise, including strategy development and hands-on execution
* Proven experience in heavy industry, construction, or similar complex environments
* Strong understanding of Industrial Awards and Regulations
* Leadership, mentoring, compliance knowledge, and excellent communication and engagement skills
* Minimum Bachelor of Business (Human Resources Management) Degree or higher
* Membership of the Australian Human Resources Institute (desirable)
* Unrestricted working rights in Australia
