Join the NDSC Team – Disability Support Workers (Redland Bay & Brisbane Southside)
At NDSC (National Disability Support & Care), we believe support should feel like family. We're looking for passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Redland Bay and Brisbane Southside.
As a Support Worker, you won't just be providing care – you'll be empowering people with disability to build independence, achieve their goals, and live fulfilling lives in the community.
What You'll Be Doing
* Delivering personal care (showering, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect.
* Supporting daily living activities like cooking, cleaning, and household tasks.
* Facilitating community access by attending appointments, social events, and recreational activities.
* Providing emotional and behavioural support, following individualised care plans.
* Assisting with medication reminders, mobility support, and complex health needs when required.
* Supporting participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and working with people with complex or psychosocial disabilities.
* Encouraging independence through life skill development, social connections, and goal achievement.
* Completing accurate progress notes, reports, and incident documentation.
About You
We're looking for compassionate, reliable, and skilled support workers who:
* Hold a Cert III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent qualification.
* Have experience in disability, aged care, or mental health (experience with SIL or complex needs highly regarded).
* Understand trauma-informed care and have experience managing challenging behaviours.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A 'can do' attitude.
* Can work independently as well as part of a supportive team.
* Are flexible and reliable, with a genuine passion for supporting people to live their best lives.
* Willing to work shift work, including days, weekends, nights, active/inactive overnights across a 24/7 roster.
Essential Requirements
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
* National Police Check.
* Current Australian Driver's License and ability to transport participants.
* Right to work in Australia.
