Job Overview:
Our organization is seeking a dedicated and empathetic support worker to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals and living their best life.
The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of the disability sector, person-centered support principles, and excellent communication skills.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with community access and recreational activities
* Providing personal care, including showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance
* Manual handling and/or using equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
* Transportation and supporting social engagement
* Domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
The successful candidate will be willing to learn and undergo training for the use of a Hoist, PEG Feeding, and Epilepsy Management. They must also be prepared to work flexible hours and travel.
