**About the Project - Upper South Creek**
New greenfield Advanced Water Recycling Centre and associated infrastructure which will provide wastewater services and recycled water for the Aerotropolis, Western Sydney Airport and Southwest Growth Areas.
The project will include the Design, Construction and 10yr Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant and an Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will produce:
- High-quality treated water suitable for recycling & environmental flows to an ultimate capacity of 70ML/d
- Biosolids suitable for beneficial reuse
- A new 25km pipeline from the AWRC to Sydney Water's existing wastewater system to discharge brine.
- A new 16km pipeline from the AWRC to the Nepean River, to release excess treated water.
This project will be one of the most technologically advanced wastewater treatment plants in the Southern Hemisphere.
**About the Role**
We're looking for an experienced **Traffic Manager** to design, develop, implement and monitor traffic management plans and controls on our Upper South Creek project. We're currently in the design and planning phase of this project so initially this position would be based out of Mascot, NSW until the team move on-site to Kemps Creek, NSW. This is a key role on our project, where you will engage with clients and key stakeholders to ensure John Holland is represented in a highly competent and professional way.
**Responsibilities of the role include;**
- Lead the traffic team, design, develop, implement and monitor Traffic Management Plans and controls in similar high speed, high volume traffic environments
- Develop Traffic Guidance Schemes & Traffic Management Plans in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identifications and document controls;
- Coordinating with internal staff and external consultants to develop and refine all traffic management plans
- Implementing ongoing compliance and safety audits
- Liaising with statutory bodies (TNSW, Councils, Police, Clients representative etc)
- Engaging with the project team (Engineering and Supervisory) ensuring all plans are concise, clear and deliverable
- Managing subcontracts from tendering through to delivery including management of budget and contract ownership
- Carrying out daily and weekly inspections of all traffic management on site during delivery
**To be successful in this key role, you must have;**
- Completion of a relevant Engineering degree qualification
- Experience as a Traffic or Transport Engineer working on major civil construction projects for a contractor or consultancy
- Successful completion of a Transport and Main Roads approved Traffic Management Design Training course delivered by a registered training provider
- Proven experience in Traffic Management Design, with an ability to work in a team environment, focussing on a safety first culture
- Strong data management, analytical, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Effective in technical problem-solving skills
