The current significant rail projects Rail Infrastructure Delivery is responsible for include the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade Project - Stage 1 ($1.004 billion).

The Rail Delivery & Safety team
The Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office Is At The Forefront Of Delivering Transformative Rail Infrastructure Across Queensland. As Part Of Our Team, You'll Be Contributing To
* Leading safe and integrated rail delivery by managing planning, construction staging, and operational readiness across RIDO's major projects.
* Driving safety assurance and compliance, ensuring all infrastructure meets legislative and regulatory standards.
* Coordinating stakeholder engagement and interface management with Queensland Rail, industry partners, and government agencies to ensure seamless delivery.
* Supporting project approvals and environmental planning, enabling timely and responsible infrastructure development.
* Delivering safer, more connected rail services that improve passenger experience and support Queensland's growth ahead of Brisbane 2032.
What your day-to-day could look like
About You
* Experience working on rail projects and major infrastructure, ideally within a government or regulated environment.
* Proven experience applying relevant Work Health and Safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and Australian and ISO standards in a complex project environment.
* Practical knowledge and experience engaging with regulatory bodies such as the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) and the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, assess risk, and implement proactive safety management strategies.
* High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear documentation, deliver presentations, and provide strategic safety advice to senior stakeholders.
* Competence using Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) to support reporting, communication, and collaboration.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to stay up to date with industry best practice, legislative changes, and emerging safety risks.
