Head of Engineering - Utility-Scale Solutions Location: Perth or BrisbaneWe're partnering with a global energy solutions provider delivering large-scale, flexible power and infrastructure projects across renewables, thermal and hybrid systems.With a strong presence in Australia and a growing pipeline of utility-scale opportunities, the business is looking to appoint a Head of Engineering to lead its technical function across Western Australia.The Role This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing engineering across a diverse portfolio of utility-scale energy projects.You will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring technical excellence across project design, execution and delivery. The role spans multiple technologies and requires a broad, solutions-focused approach to engineering rather than a purely power systems lens.Working closely with commercial, delivery and operational teams, you will play a key role in shaping project outcomes, supporting bids and ensuring engineering inputs are aligned with both client requirements and broader business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a high-performing engineering team across Western AustraliaOversee engineering design and technical delivery across utility-scale energy projects (including hybrid and off-grid solutions)Provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from concept and bid support through to execution and commissioningEnsure engineering outputs meet required standards across safety, quality, cost and scheduleWork closely with commercial and project delivery teams to develop competitive, technically robust solutionsManage and coordinate external engineering consultants and OEMs where requiredSupport risk identification and mitigation across technical scopesContribute to strategic planning, capability build-out and continuous improvement of engineering processesAbout YouDegree-qualified Electrical Engineer, with strong foundational engineering capabilityProven experience leading engineering functions or teams within utility-scale energy, infrastructure or power generation environmentsBroad technical exposure across generation technologies (renewables, thermal, hybrid systems), with the ability to take a solutions-led approachStrong understanding of project delivery, including design, procurement and construction interfacesExperience working in complex, fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholdersCommercial awareness, with the ability to support bids and align engineering outcomes with project economicsStrong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building and developing teamsWhy ApplySenior leadership role within a globally backed platformExposure to a diverse mix of utility-scale and bespoke energy solutionsOpportunity to shape and grow an engineering function in a key regionCollaborative environment with strong project pipeline and long-term growth#J-18808-Ljbffr
