Indigenous Land and Sea Management Research Opportunity
Caring for Country is widely recognised for delivering social, cultural, environmental and economic benefits to communities.
This research will bring a nutrition, health and wellbeing lens to Indigenous land and sea management to understand how it can support access to traditional foods and consumption of healthy diets.
The CERC Fellow will join the Agri-Food Systems research group within the Agriculture Business Unit. This research sits at the interface of natural resource management and public health nutrition to improve health and wellbeing of Indigenous Australians whilst supporting cultural, social, environmental benefits for communities.
Key Objectives:
* To apply a nutrition, health and wellbeing lens to Indigenous land and sea management.
* To better understand how Indigenous land and sea management can support access to traditional foods and consumption of healthy diets.
* To improve health and wellbeing of Indigenous Australians whilst supporting cultural, social, environmental benefits for communities.
