Job Opportunity: Irrigation Technician
Grapeland Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Irrigation Technician. This role involves determining hydraulic parameters, implementing irrigation programs, scheduling irrigations, selecting and managing pumping systems, interpreting and applying irrigation designs, supervising irrigation system installations, and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* AQF Certificate II in horticulture, viticulture, or a related field with 1 year of experience (20 hours/week)
* Practical experience as a farm worker in Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry industry
* Ability to operate a wide range of farm and plant machinery, including tractors and pumps
* Knowledge and experience of agricultural production principles
* Excellent communication skills and a Driver's licence
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Irrigationist team
* Develop and implement irrigation plans
* Maintain and repair irrigation systems
Requirements:
* AQF Certificate II in horticulture, viticulture, or a related field
* Practical experience in Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry industry
* Proficiency in operating farm and plant machinery
* Knowledge of agricultural production principles
* Excellent communication and driving skills
