About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with a broad range of executive and operational stakeholders across the Mid North Coast Local Health District to identify, design, and deliver initiatives that drive value and improve organisational performance. You will collaborate extensively with finance, operations, quality, strategy and improvement, and information technology teams to support the development and implementation of high impact initiatives aligned to District priorities.
Working alongside operational managers and directors, you will apply your expertise in program and project management, business improvement roadmaps, business process re-engineering, lean thinking, human-centred design, change and transition planning, benefits realisation, and continuous improvement. A key focus of the role is to identify and realise opportunities to enhance operational performance and service delivery outcomes.
Reporting to the District Director Finance and Performance, the role provides critical support in driving, coordinating, and achieving agreed strategic and operational initiatives, contributing to sustainable improvement across the District.
This is a Full Time Temporary role based in the Mid North Coast Local Health District.
About You
This role requires an experienced senior professional with extensive knowledge and demonstrated capability in a relevant field within a large and diverse service industry organisation, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience. The position provides senior-level leadership and management expertise, contributing to strategic direction, operational delivery, and organisational performance.
The role demands highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and build effective collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical, critical appraisal, and problem-solving skills are essential to address complex organisational challenges and support informed decision-making.
Advanced computer literacy is required, including the effective use of word processing tools, data management systems, spreadsheets, and information systems to support analysis, reporting, and project delivery. The role also involves demonstrated experience in project management, with a strong understanding of large-scale change and transformation. This includes experience delivering change across operational, technology, and finance environments, as well as extensive knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma. Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and understand complex concepts, are essential to success in this role. A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel as required are also necessary to support operational and stakeholder engagement requirements.
