About The Opportunity
* Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
* This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote, with flexible hours to work whenever is best for you.
You may contribute your expertise by…
* Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
* Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
* Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.
Examples of Desirable Expertise
* Experience as a professional writer or editor.
* Enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a highly selective institution.
* Strong writing style, exceptional English spelling and grammar, and good logic and reasoning skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a piece of text.
Payment
* The current pay rate for core project work by English writing experts in the US averages USD $35 per hour.
* Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, and project needs. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Lower rates may apply for initial onboarding or overtime. Incentive payments may also be available. Please review specific project payment terms.
