We are seeking a Senior Agricultural Extension Scientist who is passionate about sustainability and has a flair for driving change.
Our Requirements
* Deliver evidence-based extension strategies that support research adoption and strengthen the agricultural sector's knowledge, confidence and capability to support sustainable pest management.
* Contribute to the design and delivery of extension and communication plans, collaborating with researchers and project partners to identify key outputs and effective extension pathways.
* Develop tools and resources that support Australian farmers to adopt sustainable invertebrate pest management practices, applying best-practice extension methods to improve the reach and impact of research.
As a key member of our team, you will maintain strong, collaborative relationships with project partners, stakeholders and funding bodies, supporting the uptake of sustainable agricultural practices and technologies across the sector.
Additionally, you will facilitate knowledge exchange through the design and delivery of workshops, field days and training sessions that support practice change.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and delivering extension programs that enhance the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices by Australian farmers.
* Collaborating with researchers and project partners to identify key research outputs and develop effective extension pathways.
* Designing and delivering training programs to build capacity among farmers and other stakeholders.
