Job Overview
Category Manager – Fuel Supply Chain Procurement, permanent full-time, based at Mascot Head office.
Responsibilities
* Develop and drive strategic sourcing solutions to mitigate commercial and operational risk and deliver significant value across Fuel and Air Traffic Management charges.
* Lead and execute strategies for Fuel procurement, ensuring cost‐effective outcomes for the Qantas Group.
* Oversee the end‐to‐process of Fuel procurement, including RFPs, supplier negotiations, contract development, reviews and executions.
* Manage and maintain key supplier and internal stakeholder relationships, providing advanced negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
* 5+ years experience within the Fuel, Strategic Sourcing, or Airline industry.
* Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Business or Procurement.
* Accreditation from Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply desirable.
* Advanced influencing, communication and negotiation skills.
* Commercially focused and able to assess impact of decisions on business outcomes.
* Experience leading sourcing activities as a procurement specialist or category manager.
* Experience in commercial and operational environments.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, adaptable across seniority levels, cultures and global borders.
* Proven track record of achieving KPI targets.
