Desired Skills and Experience
What You'll Do
- Support injured employees through return to work and workers compensation processes
- Act as a key point of contact for employees, operational teams and external stakeholders
- Understand injury expectations including recovery prognosis, treatment pathways and return to full capacity outcomes
- Communicate confidently with medical practitioners and interpret medical reports, scans and related documentation
- Conduct injury assessments over the phone and provide immediate guidance on initial injury management
- Coordinate medical appointments and treatment requirements for employees
- Identify suitable duties aligned to worker capacity and injury type including lower limb, spinal and upper limb injuries
- Develop, implement and communicate work capacity and return to work plans
- Manage workers compensation claims including lodgement, administration and ongoing case management
- Liaise with insurers and relevant workers compensation regulatory bodies
- Partner with internal safety stakeholders to maintain accurate claims information and reporting
- Manage workers compensation payroll requirements and insurance reconciliation processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement across care services practices
- Travel occasionally to regional and interstate locations as required
About You
- Proven years experience in workers compensation claims management or exposure within a related industry highly regarded
- Recent graduates with tertiary qualifications in Exercise & Health Science, Occupational Therapy or similar disciplines encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of allied health or rehabilitation environments viewed favourably
- Excellent written and verbal communication capability
- Professional, caring and empathetic communication style
- Ability to communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong computer literacy and confidence working across systems and documentation
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Flexible approach and comfort working across varied daily activities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Passion for supporting individuals and contributing positively to business outcomes
