Terminal Operations Specialist
This is a key role in the safe and efficient acceptance, securing, and delivery of freight. You will work a family-friendly roster (8/6) and play a crucial part in our Terminal Operations.
The successful candidate will have experience in heavy operations and strong skills in routine terminal operations. They will also be able to operate reach stackers and forklifts safely and efficiently, and adhere to company policies and procedures during equipment operation.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
* Operate reach stackers and forklifts to load and unload products safely and efficiently.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures during equipment operation.
* Comply with safety, fatigue, and heavy equipment guidelines.
* Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism.
* Perform general terminal duties and basic data entry as required.
* Conduct equipment inspections and pre-start checks according to company policies.
* Handle bulk dangerous goods safely and in compliance with regulations.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Reach stacker ticket.
* High-risk heavy forklift ticket.
* Ability to pass a Dangerous Goods security clearance.
* Knowledge of terminal operations and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Strong skills in routine terminal operations.
* Experience in heavy operations.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for building effective relationships.
