Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Cook to join the team at St Helens District Hospital and Community Service Centre. This role plays an important part in delivering high‐quality, nutritious meals to hospital patients, staff, and community meal recipients.
The Team
Located on the stunning East Coast of Tasmania, St. Helens District Hospital has Tasmania's busiest rural emergency department with increased presentations during peak tourist season from December until April. The hospital provides a fast‐paced environment that delivers high quality patient‐centred care.
The Role
* Prepare, cook and provide meals of the highest standard to consumers and staff at St Helens District Hospital and deliver meals to community recipients.
* In the absence of the Cook/Hotel Services Supervisor, provide day‐to‐day direction and supervision of hotel services support staff.
* Maintain equipment hygiene in the kitchen area, ensuring staff comply with all safety and food‐safety regulations and requirements.

Details of appointment
Permanent, part‐time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 19 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.

Salary Packaging
