Alzheimer's WA is the leading provider of dementia care in WA. Alzheimer's WA has been serving the community for more than 40 years. Our organisation provides direct respite, home care, education and dementia support services. Additionally, we raise awareness and advocate to people living with dementia in WA (which exceeds some 48,000 individuals) and support to the 200,000 carers, friends, and family members. AWA, as a not-for-profit, and Company Limited by Guarantee, complies with various Federal and State legislation, including the Corporation's Act and WHS 2020 Act, with a membership base of over 2,000 individuals.

Position Summary
Alzheimer's WA is seeking a Manager Marketing to join our team.
The focus of this role is to raise awareness of and to position Alzheimer's WA as the key organisation supporting, educating and advocating for people living with dementia, their carers and families, along with being the preferred industry employer and charitable cause for donors, sponsors and volunteers.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the role delivers on annual communication, marketing and stakeholder plans that drive profile, profit and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, manage and implement strategy including: Fundraising, Marketing, Promotions, Communications, Brand and Positioning, Membership, Donors, Traditional Media, Digital Media and Public Relations (PR) in consultation with key stakeholders
* Develop the business plan to execute growth and development in line with the organisations strategic plan
* Ensure the Department's commitment and adherence to Alzheimer's WA's person-centred philosophy and practice in dementia care
* Manage Alzheimer's WA's media exposure including the development and management of media strategies;
* Identify and develop opportunities for building public awareness through print and electronic media
* Manage and grow Alzheimer's WA's branding and positioning, including ensuring brand consistency across the organisation in collaboration with the CEO
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrate knowledge of current marketing and/or public relations practices and experience in managing media relations
* Proven skills in revenue growth that meets or exceeds fundraising targets, experience with corporate partnership, trusts and foundations, major donor, bequest and high net worth programs and the ability to meet fundraising targets, along with creating and developing new fundraising opportunities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to present and manage stakeholder relationships with demonstrated experience in writing media releases, speeches, articles and copy, time management and organisational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines
* Membership or eligibility for membership to the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA). Membership of Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) and a firm understanding of best practice principles and relevant tertiary qualification in Communications or similar (desirable)
