The Opportunity
As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. Your role will also involve maintaining payroll systems, ensuring legislative compliance, and providing expert payroll advice across the organisation.
What’s Involved
End to end weekly & monthly payroll processing.
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner for weekly and monthly employees.
Respond to payroll queries and assist with managing the shared People Services inbox.
Understanding, interpreting, and applying awards, enterprise agreements, and common law contracts.
Attend to enquiries within a timely manner ensuring alignment to Austal policies, procedures, and values.
Liaising with staff and management on payroll related matters.
The Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience and knowledge.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Working understanding of payroll related legislation, rules, policies, regulations, agreements (including EBA), awards, and other compliance.
