About Us
The Solvar story began in 2000, with two office locations serving a few thousand consumers in Melbourne. Fast forward to today and we are an ASX-listed market leader in consumer and business lending. We serve over 100,000 customers and are quickly becoming one of Australia's most innovative financial services firms. We're super passionate about what we do, who we do it for, and wholeheartedly believe in our shared purpose: 'Helping to solve life's financial needs'.
Solvar Group is on the lookout for a Business Intelligence Manager to lead our dynamic BI team of two and shape the future of data-driven strategy across the business. If you're passionate about transforming complex data into powerful insights and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment—this is your moment.
About the Role
* You will shape, define and execute our company-wide Business Intelligence roadmap. This involves collaborating closely with executive leadership and Department Heads to identify opportunities where data can drive significant business outcomes.
* Your strategic vision will help transform raw numbers into meaningful, actionable insights that directly influence Solvar's growth and direction.
* You'll lead and nurture a small but highly skilled team of data engineers. Mentorship, creating a culture of learning and accountability, and supporting professional development are at the heart of this role. We encourage innovation and provide the support needed for you and your team to excel.
* You'll manage our Business Intelligence infrastructure, including Power BI dashboards, ETL processes, and our enterprise data warehouse. Your role will be hands-on, optimising system performance, introducing new analytical tools, and supporting seamless data integration from multiple sources.
* Protecting the accuracy, security, and compliance of our financial data assets is crucial. You'll establish and maintain best practices in data management and governance, ensuring that our BI initiatives meet both regulatory standards and business needs.
* You'll track and analyse key business performance indicators, manage end-to-end BI projects, and deliver clear, engaging presentations to senior stakeholders. Your insights will inform strategic decisions and drive new opportunities for the business.
About You
* You bring hands-on experience from the financial services sector—ideally in auto lending, personal lending, or asset finance. If you thrive on building strong partnerships, managing projects from start to finish, and leading collaborative teams in agile settings, you'll find a supportive home at Solvar.
* Your expertise with Power BI, MSSQL, Azure, and enterprise data warehousing will be valued, and a degree in computer science, business information systems, or a related field will be your launchpad for success. If you're ready to turn data into action and help drive Solvar's next chapter, we would love to hear from you.
Why Solvar?
* A supportive team of bright and innovative people to work alongside—including women in leadership and technology roles
* Leadership development and career progression opportunities designed to support all employees
* Paid parental leave: 8 weeks at full pay for primary carers and 2 weeks at full pay for secondary carers
* Hybrid working arrangements to support work-life balance
* Purchased lifestyle leave
* Secondment and promotional opportunities
* Birthday leave to celebrate your special day
* Bonus program recognising your contributions
* Study assistance to continue growing your skills
