NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link) as part of METRONET.
As an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator reporting to the Temporary Works LEAD, to provide Temporary Works Process implementation. Contributes to a "best for Project" and attainment of high performance across all Key Result Areas.
**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:
Demonstrate a personal visible commitment to Our SHE Policies, Our SHE Cultural Framework, the Safety Essentials and the SHE Management System requirements and expectations;
Understand and discharge their SHE accountability;
Develop and maintain an awareness of the hazards and associated SHE risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimize those risks
Ensuring all staff and contractors are appropriately trained and inducted into SH&E standards and comply with SH&E procedures & Temporary Works Procedures
Involved in assessing & approving Temporary Works designers & 3rd Party Checkers
Reviewing and approving SHEWMS & ITPs for works involving Temporary Works
Maintaining environmental compliance and promote sustainability
Planning, maintaining, coordinating and monitoring temporary works schemes aligned to construction programs and completion of activities involved in Project/s, and communicating on same with relevant stakeholders
Organizing the designing and implementing temporary works and infrastructure, as required
Managing site team interface for design brief information & outline design scheme positive feedback
Evaluating subcontractors to ensure capability to implement the temporary works design
Seeking the most efficient techniques, methods and materials
Informing the Project Manager on any significant SH&E, quality or other difficulties which will impact Project delivery or community relations and taking appropriate action to rectify
Recommending remedial action in cases of non-compliance to design drawings or quality standards
guiding and instructing others in essential aspects of quality management
Ensuring quality of manufacture and construction satisfies project requirements and standards
Reviewing and approving shop drawings
Managing technical documentation between designers, 3rd party checkers & site team
Establishing regular reports on technical, systems and productivity performances to the Project Manager
Reviewing temporary works installation(s), including issuing non-compliance reports and agreeing remedial actions and verifying their completion
Managing & engaging in inspection and verification activities required by the Inspection and Test Plans
Monitoring completion ITP Checklists and reports by field staff, and completion of Permit to Load
Verifying conformance prior to loading completed worksite, i.e. complete Permit to Remove Temporary Works request
Managing communication between designers and construction team
Reviewing all RFI's on the Temporary Works scheme for validity prior to submitting to Designer
Defining priorities within Project Management Plan/s to ensure project is delivered to project objectives
Coordinate and control Temporary Works engineering and technical activities on the Project as directed by the Project Manager.
Inputting to relevant site team Project Plans
Help identify site needs for temporary works & evaluate site team risk categorisation of proposals
Ensuring the appropriate allocation of work to Designers to achieve objectives
ABOUT YOU
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience within the construction industry, previous experience in a similar role
