Employment Consultant – Youth Transition to Work & Workforce Australia

Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Up to £72,070
Role Overview
We are seeking motivated and values‑driven Employment Consultants to join our Tamworth team, supporting participants across the Youth Transition to Work (TTW) and Workforce Australia programmes.
This role is suited to professionals with experience in employment services, case management, youth work or community services, who are passionate about helping people overcome barriers and progress into meaningful employment or education. Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those new to employment services as well as experienced practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
Participant Caseload Management
* Provide one‑to‑one case management and tailored employment support
* Build strong, trust‑based relationships using trauma‑informed practice
* Support young people and adults to achieve sustainable employment or education outcomes
* Identify barriers to work and co‑develop individual action plans
Employment & Education Outcomes
* Support participants to progress into:
* Employment
* Education or training pathways
* Provide ongoing motivation, coaching and practical employability support
* Monitor progress and adjust support approaches to achieve outcomes
Employer & Partnership Engagement
* Engage with local employers to identify suitable opportunities
* Build relationships with training providers and community services
* Coordinate referrals and collaborate with external stakeholders to support participant goals
Administration, Compliance & Targets
* Maintain accurate and timely participant records
* Ensure all activity meets programme requirements and quality standards
* Work towards performance expectations in a supportive, outcomes‑focused environment
About You – Essential Criteria
* Background in employment services, youth services, community services or case management
* Empathetic, motivated and participant‑focused approach
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
* Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
* Values‑driven with a genuine commitment to helping people succeed
Desirable
* Previous experience within employment services (not essential)
* Experience supporting young people or individuals facing complex barriers
* Knowledge of local labour markets or training pathways
(Full training provided for candidates new to employment services.)
