Overview
We are looking for a strategic leader to manage our Investigation Services Team within DoT's Driver and Vehicle Services.
As the Investigation Services Manager, you will lead a team responsible for delivering high‑quality, risk‑based investigations that proactively address compliance, fraud and misconduct risks across DVS. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, business partners and integrity bodies to ensure investigations are conducted to the highest standard and aligned with legislative, policy and governance requirements.
This role requires a forward‑thinking leader who can analyse trends, identify emerging risks, and provide high‑level complex and sensitive reports which provide insight and supports sound decision‑making. You will champion continuous improvement, contribute to policy development, and ensure the continual development of the investigative team using contemporary investigative practices.
As Manager of the Investigations team, you will be able to share your knowledge and experience, as you will be responsible for the management and coordination of the work conducted by your team, the delivery of quality investigative outcomes, and coaching, mentoring, assessment and training of investigators in your team.

About you
* Demonstrated experience leading complex integrity, compliance or investigative functions.
* Strong capability in interpreting and applying legislation, policies and investigative standards.
* Highly developed communication, negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.
* Proven ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate across teams and agencies.
* Strategic leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and team development.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
* Experience applying risk‑based compliance principles and contributing to business planning.
* Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent experience.
