An exciting leadership opportunity is now available at our Rockbank Quarry for an experienced quarry professional. We are seeking a Leading Hand with a proven background in quarry operations to help drive production, safety, and efficiency across our site. This hands-on role involves overseeing mobile plant operations, monitoring product quality and plant performance, and ensuring smooth shift transitions. You’ll play a key part in maintaining high safety standards while supporting continuous improvement across the quarry.
Please note: Prior experience working in a quarry environment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor mobile plant including crushers, screens, and conveyors
- Maximise plant production and availability through proactive fault finding
- Lead safety initiatives and report hazards/incidents via internal systems
- Complete accurate end-of-shift reports and communicate effectively with the team
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in quarry operations (essential)
- Crushing experience and mechanical aptitude
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Certificate IV in Surface Extraction Operations or equivalent (preferred)
- Competency in operating Front End Loader, Excavator, Dump Truck, Watercart (preferred)
