About The Role
Now in full production ramp-up, we are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our high-performing plant maintenance team at the Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of fixed plant infrastructure to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment in the fixed plant facility.
* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
* Perform welding, cutting, and shaping of metal components using various tools and equipment.
* Conduct inspections to identify and assess the condition of plant infrastructure and equipment.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and execute repair and maintenance plans.
* Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and industry standards throughout all fabrication and repair activities.
* Maintain accurate records of fabrication, repair, and maintenance tasks performed.
* Assist in developing maintenance procedures and documentation related to boiler-making activities.
About You
* Relevant trade qualification.
* Proven experience as a Boilermaker in a fixed plant operational mining environment.
* Proficient in boiler-making techniques, including welding, cutting, and shaping of metal.
* Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Sound understanding of different types of metals, their properties, and appropriate fabrication techniques.
* Experience in using a variety of welding equipment and tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen.
