Farrelly Construction Services (FCS) specialise in all aspects of Turnkey Construction in the concrete and civil,project management, structural, mechanical, and electrical installation, scaffolding and site maintenance disciplines in the commercial construction, mining and agriculture industries.With various projects spread across Australia, FCS are building a reputation for following safe work practices, growth, and ensuring our team are well trained and rewarded.Farrelly Construction Services (FCS) is also part of the Ahrens Group is a fifth-generation, Australian family-owned company, with over 120 years' experience in delivering a wide range of high-quality and cost-effective products and projects across Australia, with footprints overseas.About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, with a structural or mechanical background, to join a SMP project team in the Brisbane Queensland area.This role would be a project based role working on site with our SMP project management team at Yatala.Key Responsibilities:Interpret Project Plans: Understand and implement construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.Schedule Management: Assist in updating the Primavera P6 Project Schedule, and ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.Oversee Construction Activities: Supervise subcontractors and site workers to ensure work is executed according to the design and quality standards.Address Issues: Assist with the management of RFI/TQ process, track progress and report to Project ManagerResource Planning: Coordinate with the project manager to schedule materials, labor, and equipment.Development of detailed work packs for work crews.Cost Monitoring: Assist with variation process including pricing, submission and execution.Stakeholder Interaction: Participate in weekly and monthly client meetingsProgress Updates: Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical supportDocumentation: Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actionsEssential Skills and Experience:Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testKnowledge of design techniques, technical plans, drawings and modelsAnalyse drawings and specificationsUnderstand contractual terms and conditionsKnowledge of the Construction industry and QBCC RegulationsFamiliarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standardsAbility to complete tasks efficiently to a high quality standardAbility to establish effective working relationships with other employees, leading hands, supervisors, managers and the publicAbility to work from construction specificationsAbility to evaluate and implement appropriate work methodsAbility to analyse informationAbility to develop budgets/schedulesAdvanced MS Office skillsAbility to work within a multidisciplinary projectAdaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in our dynamic work environment to find best outcomes for all parties.Ability to manage schedules and deadlines, and prioritise tasks appropriately.Ability to multitask and complete tasks in parallel.Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.Excellent communication with clients, contractors and fellow employees.Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills.Proven high quality experience producing correspondence and documents.Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with other employees, managers and Client Stakeholders.Ability to evaluate and implement appropriate work methods.Strong focus on safety and meeting safety expectationsResults driven.
