Job Description for Glasgow City Council Chief Executives Department: you will have responsibility for the management of the Corporate Health & Safety team and will contribute to the development of the Health and Safety Management system across Glasgow City Council. You will arrange and lead activities to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and play a lead role in developing Council Management Standards.
Responsibilities
* Manage the Corporate Health & Safety team and contribute to the development of the Health and Safety Management system across Glasgow City Council.
* Ensure arrangements are in place to comply with Health & Safety legislation and lead the development of Council Management Standards.
* Communicate effectively with Senior Managers, providing advice and direction on all Health and Safety matters.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (essential).
* Chartered Membership of IOSH is strongly desired.
* Applicants working towards Chartered Membership of IOSH and committed to attaining this may apply.
