Seeking highly-skilled Project Managers to manage complex international projects for the Federal Government

A large Federal Government Department responsible for managing Australia's international presence, including delivery of secure, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose overseas property assets. The Division oversees the planning, design, construction and maintenance of the department's global estate. They are seeking experienced 2x EL1 Project Managers to join the division on a multi-year labour hire contract.
Your new role
As an EL1 Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of project delivery - from planning and procurement through to construction and handover. You will work in a dynamic international environment, collaborating with internal teams, contractors and consultants.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end management of overseas property projects, including planning, procurement, contract administration, and delivery.
* Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in line with government frameworks.
* Manage stakeholder relationships across government, industry, and international partners.
* Oversee contractors and consultants to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
* Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with governance and security requirements.
* Provide expert advice and reporting to senior executives on project progress, financial performance, and risk management.
* Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a highly skilled project management professional with;
* Proven experience delivering complex property projects in government or commercial environments.
* Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Expertise in procurement, contract management, and risk mitigation.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory).
* Qualifications in project management, construction management, engineering, or a related field (desirable).
* Experience working on overseas or secure government facilities (highly regarded).
