Job Description
Minor Hotels is seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to support and grow corporate, government, MICE and leisure business across our Western Australia and Northern Territory portfolio.
Reporting to the Area Director of Sales – SA/WA/NT, this role focuses on developing new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships. It's well suited to a commercially minded sales professional looking to step into a broader regional role and continue building their career within hospitality.
Key responsibilities
* Drive corporate, government, MICE and leisure revenue across WA and NT properties
* Grow existing accounts while actively developing new business (70/30 focus)
* Implement group sales strategies to maximise occupancy and profitability
* Analyse market trends, competitor activity and forward occupancy
* Manage and maintain key client relationships through face-to-face and virtual engagement
* Work closely with Hotel Managers, Revenue, Marketing and Commercial teams
* Attend industry events, trade shows and networking functions
* Ensure accurate reporting, CRM management and data integrity
* Identify cross-selling opportunities across the Minor Hotels portfolio
Qualifications
* 1-3 years experience in a Business Development role within hospitality or tourism
* Demonstrated success in increasing revenue and building strong client portfolios
* Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Highly organised with excellent time management and planning capability
* Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader sales team
* Professional presentation and a proactive, service-driven mindset
