About the Role
As the Regional General Manager, you will oversee the performance of the WR region, leading sales, network development, distribution, and dealer engagement. You'll work closely with senior leadership to execute national strategies while empowering your teams and dealer partners to achieve outstanding wholesale, retail, and accessory sales results.
This role is ideal for a seasoned automotive professional who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with hands on leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and provide direction to WR teams to achieve wholesale and retail sales targets
• Maintain zero aged stock (180+ days from import)
• Drive regional vehicle accessory and parts sales performance
• Support Network Development strategy, including WR, facility standards, and dealer performance
• Oversee DAA activities aligned with Head Office and local PMA marketing
• Manage regional vehicle distribution, VFOS forward ordering, production planning, and logistics
• Provide regional oversight of sales training and development for KAU and dealer staff
• Motivate and manage the Kia dealer network to achieve sales, penetration, and profitability objectives
• Analyse and report on market trends and competitor activity
• Support fleet sales across Corporate, Government, and Rental sectors
• Ensure WHS compliance for WR KAU staff
• Support service strategy implementation across the region
What We're Looking For
• Minimum 5 years' sales experience in the automotive industry (wholesale or retail)
• Tertiary qualifications in Business (advantageous)
• Exceptional communication skills across Corporate, Government, Rental, and Dealer stakeholders
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; SAP experience highly regarded
• Current driver's licence
• Willingness to travel and work outside standard business hours
