Job Summary
The role of a caregiver in a mental health setting involves providing high-quality care to patients/clients. This includes coordinating and delivering care that meets the needs of individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Care Coordination: Develop and implement individualized care plans that take into account the unique needs of each patient/client.
* Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients/clients to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or a related field, along with current registration as a Registered Nurse.
2. High-level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.
3. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
4. Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
5. Understanding of recovery principles and commitment to consumer-focused care.
6. Postgraduate-level experience delivering high-quality patient care in Mental Health.
7. Experience in care provision, assessment, and risk management within a mental health environment.
