Administrative Support Role
We are seeking an individual to take on a key administrative support role within our organisation.
Job Description:
* The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors and telephone enquiries.
* The reception area will need to be welcoming, neat and tidy at all times, reflecting a professional image.
* Administrative support will be required for the team, including data entry, preparing letters and presentations.
* Responsibilities will include receiving payments, issuing accounts and associated correspondence.
* The individual will need to identify service requirements with sensitivity to client grief, beliefs, traditions and rituals.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and services is essential.
* Funeral documentation must be completed accurately and on time.
* Clients will need to be informed of costs and payment terms clearly.
* Liaising with service providers such as clergy, florists, newspapers and other suppliers is also a key part of the role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a service-driven organisation is highly desirable.
* Competent keyboard/computing and telephone operating skills are essential.
* The individual must be people-oriented and able to communicate effectively both in-person and over the phone.
* A high level of empathy is required to work sensitively with grieving individuals and their families.
* Interpersonal skills are crucial for working effectively in a close team environment and proactively supporting colleagues.
* The ability to undertake training and development programs is highly valued.
* The successful candidate will need to respond appropriately to client/family concerns.
* A sense of ease working with grieving families and deceased individuals is also important.
* A current Justice of the Peace certification or eligibility to become certified is preferred.
* A current unrestricted driver's license is also necessary.
