Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will take ownership of evaluating and progressing new ethical, hospital and OTC product opportunities across the organisation's pharmaceutical pipeline. This position plays a critical role in shaping portfolio strategy, supporting commercial growth, and ensuring successful product launch execution.
You will work closely with Finance, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs and Intellectual Property stakeholders to assess market opportunities, develop business cases, and manage pipeline progression. The role combines strategic portfolio planning, lifecycle management, and project leadership within a commercially focused pharmaceutical environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Evaluate new product opportunities and pipeline expansion initiatives
* Support development and execution of portfolio strategy
* Monitor pharmaceutical market trends and competitive activity
* Develop commercial forecasts and business cases
* Coordinate cross-functional project evaluation activities
* Track launch timelines and project milestones
* Support lifecycle management across the product portfolio
* Facilitate stakeholder meetings and portfolio planning discussions
Skills and Experience
* Strong understanding of the Australian Generic Pharmaceutical market
* Portfolio management, pipeline or broader commercial pharmaceutical experience
* Capabilities in evaluating and commercialising new product opportunities
* Understanding of regulatory, Intellectual Property and compliance frameworks
* Ability to interpret market data, trends and competitive dynamics
* Commercial capability in forecasting and business‐case development
* Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships
* Tertiary qualification in Pharmacy, Science, or Health Sciences
