If you have a good understanding of buildings, a keen eye for fire, asbestos, and confined spaces maintenance and safety compliance, this role may be for you.Location: Sydney or Melbourne, for a contract of up to 6 months.About the role:Lead and manage fire compliance and upgrade projects from inception to completion.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.Ensure all documentation and reporting are completed accurately and timely.Responsibilities:Identify and assess potential fire risks in buildings and facilities.Understand and apply relevant fire safety codes and standards.Identify and assess potential asbestos and confined spaces in buildings and facilities.Communicate fire safety design objectives and strategies to clients and stakeholders.Analyze fire risk scenarios and develop appropriate solutions.Problem-solve fire safety issues.Ensure accurate design calculations and specifications.Why Healthscope?When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care. We support each other, share learnings, celebrate successes, and face challenges together.Come and be the difference in our patients' lives.Criteria:Proven leadership experience managing a team of highly skilled engineers.Strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems and regulatory requirements.Experience within commercial and healthcare facilities.Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.Ability to compile detailed and accurate reports.Highly consultative, with a proven record of building and maintaining client relationships.Understanding of various systems such as fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, and fire hydrants across commercial and industrial properties.Strong operational and safety skills.Effective communicator at all levels.Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., BSc, BEng).Extensive experience in hydraulic services design within the building services industry.Tertiary qualifications in project management, a building-related discipline, or equivalent extensive and relevant experience.To apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
