Remote Area Nurses Gunbalanya, NT at Red Lily Health Base pay range: A$110,000.00/yr – A$130,000.00/yr
About the role
The position will be part of the Red Lily Clinical Services team (based at Gunbalanya) that delivers high quality and culturally secure primary healthcare to all people in the Gunbalanya region.
You will be responsible for providing high quality and culturally appropriate primary healthcare to the community of Gunbalanya and surrounding homelands, including visitors.
This role requires an understanding of Aboriginal health issues, primary health care principles, and relevant remote health legislation.
You will be part of a team that includes the Health Centre Manager, GP, Remote Area Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and administration staff, working with community engagement workers and a wide range of outreach specialists and service providers.
The position is supported by an experienced remote leadership team reporting to the Director of Primary Healthcare.

About Gunbalanya
Gunbalanya is 300 km east of Darwin and 60 km northeast of Jabiru, across the East Alligator River in Arnhem Land.
It is a major Aboriginal town with a school (pre-school to Year 12), service station and convenience store, supermarket, police station, crèche facilities, aged care, sports and social club, butcher and community arts centre.
Access to Gunbalanya
Year-round via air charter from Jabiru Airport.
Dry season (May – Nov): Road access.
Wet season (Nov – Apr): The Cahill's Crossing river crossing is usually impassable.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, culturally appropriate primary healthcare to the Gunbalanya community and surrounding homelands, including visitors.
Work within the remote health setting to promote Aboriginal health principles and comply with applicable legislation.
Collaborate with the healthcare team and contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive primary care service.

Current registration with AHPRA
Experience in remote area settings in Australia
Proven clinical experience and adaptability

Willingness to travel to remote communities by air and 4 WD
Participate in a 24-hour on-call roster
