A part-time EXPERIENCED Medical Secretary is required for the largest cardiology provider in Australia with more than 90 centres and over 100 doctors. The position will be predominantly based at our Murdoch clinic, with travel to our Armadale, Hollywood and Mount clinics required. As a highly valued Medical Secretary, your skills and expertise will assist in providing quality care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. On occasion, you may be required to provide short-term administrative relief at these practices.
Key Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical secretary role including coordinating a specialist's schedule, bookings, running clinics and providing a PA service to the specialists
Strong medical terminology and cardiology terminology (desirable)
Competent in the use of medical management software (we use HealthTrack)
Highly organised, able to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure
High level written and verbal communication skills
Liaising effectively with all stakeholders including hospital and health care providers
Good attention to detail and well-developed computer literacy
Issuing patient invoices and receipts, patient quotes, attending to account enquiries, billing Medicare, DVA and health funds
