Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Coordinator to oversee and deliver all aspects of Yandal's field operations across multiple exploration projects. This role is critical to the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of exploration programs and provides leadership and logistical coordination for field staff, drill contractors, and support services. Reporting to the Senior Field Geologist, the Field Coordinator works closely with geology, heritage, environmental, and drilling teams to support smooth site operations and the effective use of equipment, consumables, and data systems. The role is site-based and FIFO from Perth on a 13 days on / 8 days off roster.
Responsibilities
* Lead site safety performance and ensure compliance with the WHS (Mines) Act and Regulations
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve field safety systems and procedures
* Coordinate daily field activities, including pre-starts, toolbox meetings, and task allocation
* Train, supervise, and mentor field staff and Field Assistants to required standards
* Identify, report, and manage hazards, incidents, and OHS&E risks
* Coordinate logistics and execution of AC, RC, and diamond drilling programs
* Manage contractor mobilisation, onboarding, compliance, and performance monitoring
* Oversee sampling quality, chain of custody, and laboratory dispatch
* Maintain accurate drilling, site, and compliance records, including man-hours reporting
* Support geologists with PoW compliance, rehabilitation, heritage, and environmental coordination
Skills and Experience
* Current C-class manual driver's licence
* Senior First Aid certificate
* Defensive 4WD course desirable
* 8+ years' exploration experience in WA orogenic/greenstone-hosted gold systems
* Strong knowledge of drill rig operations, sampling, QAQC, and field procedures
* Familiar with WA regulatory and compliance requirements
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
