Our “Why”
Recovery Station exists to empower people to live a quality life. We believe in creating the ideal work environment for you because when you are happy, healthy, well-skilled and fulfilled, you're in the best position to have a positive impact on the wellbeing of everyone around you.
Joining Recovery Station means aligning with a company that believes in empowering you and your future.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Regional Team Lead to provide localised support to our Central Coast based OT team. You will balance maintaining your own reduced caseload along with supporting new Grads and early career clinicians to be the best they can be.
We would love someone to join us who enjoys providing supervision, being a go-to person for questions, can shadow junior OT's in initial or more challenging appointments, and who's keen to grow as a leader.
Much is talked about empowering junior clinicians, but just as important to us is supporting our seniors and supervisors like you as you navigate the new challenges that come in managerial roles. We provide leadership training along with allocating specific time in your diary for regional lead duties so that you can compartmentalise and be present as a leader and as a clinician.
You'll be supported by our Head of OT (who oversees all the of ~30 OT's in the business) plus our Clinical Manager, who is also an OT conveniently.
Our main office on the coast is in Erina (on-site parking). We'd love someone to join us who'd be comfortable servicing a caseload around their home area but who could also spend time in the office fostering a positive environment that you're team wants to be a part of.
This role would be right for you if you'd like a mix of time out seeing clients in the community (homes, aged care facilities, group homes etc) where clients are most comfortable, coupled with the freedom to work from home plus time in the office to provide supervision, see clients, write reports, prepare resources and be around the multi-disc team.
This role is ideal if you like to have genuine flexibility and control over how you structure your days - meaning your individuality is recognised + you don't miss family time or life after work.
Regarding clients and the caseload, you will:
* Service a predominantly adult, NDIS & DVA caseload (12 yrs old and up)
* Support clients with a range of tasks such as life skills (budgeting, shopping, travel, cooking), pressure care, sensory, cognitive re-training, prescribing equipment and assistive tech, upper limb + fine & gross motor therapy plus home assessments and modifications (initially minor and you can receive more training in complex mods)
* Comprehensive assessment and reporting eg initials, falls, functional capacity, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or Activities of Daily Living (ADL) & Individualised Living Option (ILO)
We see people living with lifelong disabilities, neurological conditions (MND, MS, Parkinsons, Stroke), TBI/ABI, Autism/ASD, amputations, hearing or vision impairments and more. You'll service a varied caseload meaning lots of interesting things to learn and you'll never get bored!
About You
* Qualifications in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
* Current driver's license with use of own vehicle
* You are passionate about working with adolescent and adult clients
* Supervisory or managerial experience within a clinical capacity

* Travel is reimbursed at $0.99/km + tolls and parking at appointments
* Novated leasing options
* Ability to transfer between offices if you move one day
* You'll have a modern office filled with clinical resources (plus snacks to fuel you too)
* Discounted Health Insurance for you and your family plus other everyday savings on your Energy Bill, online shopping, groceries and more
* An Employee Assistance Program is available to provide external, confidential support
* To bring us together as a team, we have a fun wellbeing program that involves monthly social events. Previously we've gone to mini golf, ten pin bowling, wheelchair basketball, made dumplings, candles and gingerbread houses, painted and celebrated important dates such as International Women's Day and mental health month and much more
Professional development:
* Your thorough Orientation will be supported by ongoing one on ones with your Supervisor to discuss your goals with a personalised CPD plan. We'll help you set your learning goals and plan what you'd like to upskill in. For example, would you like to learn more about complex home mods, AT, Mental Health, Driving OT or continue to develop more specific leadership skills?
* One on ones will be complemented with monthly inservices with the whole OT team (~30 OT's) so you can learn from external presenters, share ideas, resources and stay up to date with any industry updates. Or present yourself on your specialty topic
* We love facilitating development pathways with clinicians seeking career progression and added responsibility via either supervising students/ grads/ junior staff, increased complexity of caseload or involvement in management procedures depending on what avenue you'd like to explore
* Access additional training content anytime via our online resource library
* Two paid CPD days per annum to be used towards external training of your choice
* Formal and informal opportunities to collaborate with other members of our MDT to broaden your clinical knowledge and provide holistic care to our clients
* Companywide annual training day for the entire business (circa 130) to come together to learn from external presenters tailored each discipline
