Livingstone Shire Council is seeking a strategic planning officer to contribute to shaping sustainable, livable, and resilient communities through forward-thinking land use policies and integrated planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic land use policies and growth management frameworks
* Liaise with stakeholders, including elected members, community groups, and government agencies
* Conduct spatial analysis and align planning initiatives with broader community or infrastructure goals
* Provide advice and support to staff and external stakeholders on planning matters
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning or a closely related field
* Substantial experience in strategic and/or statutory planning, with proven success managing complex planning projects
* Strong capability to operate effectively within political and regulatory environments
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience in providing advice, engaging, consulting, and negotiating with a broad range of stakeholders
