Overview
We\'re looking for an experienced Site Manager / Sub Agent to oversee a highways scheme involving the demolition of an existing culvert and construction of a current structure on a freelance basis. You\'ll be responsible for day-to-day site supervision, subcontractor management, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. A strong focus on health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance is essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day site supervision and coordination on the highways scheme.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in highways/civil engineering, ideally with culvert or drainage works.
- Strong subcontractor management and site coordination skills.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and temporary works.
- CSCS (Site Manager), SMSTS & First Aid certifications.
- Ability to interpret drawings/specifications with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- NEC contract experience, small- to medium-infrastructure project exposure, and familiarity with digital site management tools.
