The Station Grocer is a well-established, family-owned convenience and fuel retail business with 9 stores across the Northern Rivers. With nearly two decades of service behind us, we pride ourselves on delivering quality fuel, great products, and outstanding customer service — every day.
We're looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead one of our sites. The specific store location will be determined based on the successful applicant's experience and strengths, with opportunities across the Northern Rivers.
Responsibilities:
* A hands-on approach to managing and overseeing all aspects of the business' daily operations, including customer service, inventory management, and safety and security procedures
* Providing exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
* Leading and developing a team of employees, including recruitment, training, and performance management
* Fostering a positive work environment and culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and accountability
* Implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
* Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers
* Managing financial performance, including controlling expenses and maximising revenue opportunities
Requirements:
* At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar managerial position within the retail sector, or in hospitality management
* Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team of employees
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and suppliers
* Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and maximise revenue opportunities
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions to complex issues
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Position Details:
* Salary $65K-70K (based on experience)
* Full time position
* Hours: 40 hours/week
* Monday to Friday 7am-3pm
