The Station Grocer is a well-established, family-owned convenience and fuel retail business with 9 stores across the Northern Rivers. With nearly two decades of service behind us, we pride ourselves on delivering quality fuel, great products, and outstanding customer service — every day.
We're looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead our Ballina site.
Responsibilities
* A hands‑on approach to managing and overseeing all aspects of the business' daily operations, including customer service, inventory management, and safety and security procedures
* Providing exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
* Leading and developing a team of employees, including recruitment, training, and performance management
* Fostering a positive work environment and culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and accountability
* Implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
* Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers
* Managing financial performance, including controlling expenses and maximising revenue opportunities
Requirements
* At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar managerial position within the retail sector, or in hospitality management
* Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team of employees
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and suppliers
* Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and maximise revenue opportunities
* Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions to complex issues
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities
* Australian citizenship is required for this position
Salary $65K-70K (based on experience)
Full time position
Hours: 40 hours/week
Monday to Friday 6am-2pm
