Procurement Specialist Officer
- 4 weeks - $90 per hour plus Super
- Predominately onsite at the CIT Reid Campus,
**Job Description**:
Due to the urgency of filling this position CIT would prefer applicants that have a current police check in place.
The outcome of this short-term opportunity is to develop a Strategic Procurement Plan to support the lodgement of a strategy to the ACT Government Procurement Board (GPB) outlining to the GPB, CIT's strategic approach to managing more than 30 Repairs and Maintenance Contracts over the coming 16 to 18 months.
This position will report to the Senior Manager, CIT Facilities and work closely with the Senior Manager, Procurement and Contracts to seek clarification and input as required and to ensure procurement practices align to legislative requirements and expectations of CIT and CIT Executive.
While there will be a level of flexibility regarding working hours and location of work, this position will be expected to work predominately from the CIT Reid Campus, between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In collaboration with the Senior Manager Facilities and Senior Manager Procurement and Contracts, develop a Strategic Procurement Plan and any supporting materials CIT can present to the GPB for endorsement.
- In collaboration with the Senior Managers Facilities and Procurement and Contracts prepare a more detailed procurement plan and schedule of activities to support the timely processing of each procurement.
- Commence the preparation of Request for Tender (RFT) documentation and communication with Procurement ACT for a number of RFT's to be completed in conjunction with Procurement ACT.
- As a contractor with the ACT Government you will be expected to always uphold ACT Public Service Values and Signature Behaviours and act in a professional manner.
- While this position will be mostly located in an office environment, you will still need to maintain good Work Health and Safety practices in setting up your workstation and seating adjustments to suit your individual needs. You will also need to maintain appropriate WHS practices when visiting campus sites to ensure relevant Personal Protective Equipment is used, specifically in high-risk workspaces.
