Structural Timber Researcher

You will contribute to research efforts, undertaking projects on structural timber characterization and utility performance. Work under limited supervision to achieve project grant outcomes, design and perform experiments, and prepare publications.

* Undertake research to improve understanding of structural behaviour of timber under varying moisture and temperature conditions.
* Design and perform experiments to characterise mechanical and utility performance of timber boards.
* Prepare refereed journal publications, conference papers, and seminar papers arising from research.
* Provide advice to postgraduate students in your area of expertise.

Requirements:

* A postgraduate qualification in an appropriate Science or Engineering area relevant to the research area.
* Evidence of high quality research output commensurate with the length of research career.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated through written work and effective liaison with external partners, colleagues, and students.
