Business Development Representative Role
The key responsibility of this position is to generate qualified sales opportunities through targeted outreach efforts. This role involves establishing contact with potential customers, qualifying leads, and setting up meaningful conversations for account executives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct daily prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities, researching target accounts, making cold calls, and reaching out via email and social media.
* Qualify potential customers through effective communication and discovery processes, ensuring timely and professional interaction.
* Arrange meetings with qualified prospects and hand them over to account executives, ensuring a smooth transition and clear context for the next stage of the sales process.
* Support regional sales teams by assisting with specific opportunities, promoting a collaborative sales environment.
* Maintain accurate information within the CRM platform.
* Develop in-depth knowledge of company products, specifications, and applications to effectively communicate value propositions to potential customers.
* Collaborate with the global SDR team to share expertise and leverage success, fostering a unified approach to outbound sales.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in commerce or a similar field is preferred.
* Two to three years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
* Proven experience in B2B sales development within technology-driven organizations, preferably in hardware.
* Familiarity with navigation, maritime, aerospace, or defense technologies is beneficial but not essential.
* Proficient in using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for lead management, sales development, and reporting.
* Experience with qualification frameworks like MEDDPICC or BANT is highly valuable.
