We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our beautiful family owned centre and help guide and inspire young hearts and minds in a warm, creative, and natural environment.
About Waldorf Little Learners
Our beautiful early learning centre is located in the heart of Ningi on the North side of Brisbane, Australia. Waldorf Little Learners is a magical haven for little ones, nestled beneath whispering trees and surrounded by gentle natural landscapes. Here, childhood unfolds slowly and sweetly where bare feet meet real grass, imaginations run wild, and every day is filled with wonder, warmth, and the quiet beauty of nature.
Key Responsibilities as an ECT:
* Develop and implement a holistic, play-based curriculum that nurtures the whole child
* Create and maintain a calm, safe, and stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors
* Foster respectful, nurturing relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through intentional teaching and responsive care
* Engage in regular observation, documentation, and reflection to inform practice
* Collaborate with educators to plan, assess, and improve learning programs
* Promote a strong connection to nature and sustainability in daily experiences
* Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), EYLF, and relevant regulations
* Communicate effectively and professionally with families, respecting their individual needs and values
* Model ethical, inclusive, and reflective teaching practices

What you'll bring:
* ACECQA approved Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent (graduates and working towards are still encouraged to apply)
* Blue Card - Working With Children's Check for Child Related Employment
* Child protection training: Identifying and responding to children and young people at risk of harm
* Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates
* Understanding of the NQF and NQS
* Understanding of and commitment to competency early childhood practice is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework and Kindergarten Guidelines
* Effective skills in communication, working in a team environment, and efficient time management
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of relevant legislative policies, standards, and requirements
* Demonstrated ability to build constructive working relationships with families and staff
