Financial Accountant South Melbourne | Hybrid Working
We're partnering with a well‐established organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant for an initial 5‐month contract, with a strong opportunity to transition to permanent.
Based in South Melbourne, this role offers a structured hybrid working model — on site Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with Tuesday and Thursday working from home — providing both flexibility and strong team connection.
The Opportunity This is a hands‐on role within a collaborative finance team, ideally suited to someone who enjoys owning outcomes and contributing across the full financial accounting cycle. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls while supporting commercial decision‐making.
Key Responsibilities
* Month‐end close, journals and accruals
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Cash flow and banking activities
* Fixed assets and capital expenditure
* Audit and reporting support
* Partnering with internal stakeholders across the business
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in financial accounting
* Background in a medium‐sized manufacturing or FMCG business is highly regarded
* Confident, detail‐oriented and comfortable in a fast‐paced environment
* Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
