Private Estate nestled amongst an operational cattle farm, on the banks of the Murray River, 110km south of Perth.
In conjunction with the farm staff and gardeners, you will be responsible for ensuring the Estate is maintained and kept in pristine condition. The Estate includes 7 properties and recreational infrastructure.
We offer a competitive remuneration package with on-site accommodation provided in a two-bedroom furnished cottage.
The Role
You will be responsible for undertaking general repairs and maintenance as well as preventative maintenance programs. This includes:
* general handyman work – internal and external property maintenance;
* general maintenance - clearing gutters, pressure cleaning pavers, removal of cobwebs, wood collection and pest control;
* minor repair work - patching, painting;
* cleaning and maintenance of decks and timber finishings;
* groundskeeping - mowing, reticulation upkeep and gardening;
* use of chemicals for cleaning and other duties;
* routine maintenance of tools, recreational equipment and storage facilities;
* maintenance of swimming pools and spas;
* small scale marron farming;
* ad hoc farm hand work if required;
* compliance with safety regulations; and
* other general caretaker duties as required.
To be successful in this role, as a minimum, you will need to demonstrate:
* experienced as a handyperson;
* property maintenance experience;
* impeccable attention to detail;
* good verbal and communication skills;
* high degree of fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including a requirement; to perform a pre-employment medical clearance;
* current driver's licence and have own transport;
* support from two professional references;
* a right to work in Australia; and
* a current (within 6 months) Police Check.
